you should actually allow yourself time to grieve for the relationship...which is what you are preparing to do..that is great! So the rule of thumb for the grieving period...(since you didn't say exactly how long you dated) is one month for every year you were together, one week for every month, and one day for every week unless it was only a week and in that case you might need to be alone as long as it takes for you to feel confident enough to date again

Not another second.....its OVER....so its time to move on.
Do you sit there when the movie is finished?
When you finish taking a crap, do you wait on the toilet?
When the bell rings to end class do you still sit in your seat?
Time to go = Move on.....Its Over

You move on with your life, right away. That doesn't mean move on to another girl.It means to get back to your normal life, the life you had before you met her.Going right to another relationship right away can mean trouble.

How about you move on when you feel that YOU are ready to move on. Life is short....do what feels right.
