If I got my Wedding Gown at David's Bridal and had it put on layaway, then decided I didn't like the dress, do you think they would let me switch it out while it's still in layaway?

Here's the story - I've got 2 weeks left to get it out and only a little over $100 more to pay on it. At first, we were going to have a spring wedding, but then we went to my mom's wedding and decided that we needed a little more time because we want to have a nice wedding, so now we're doing it next fall. The dress I had picked out isn't suitable for the fall...and neither are my colors.

If you had to order it the might not allow you to.All you have to do is just ask them hopefully they will, but if they say no and you have not put alot of money down on it just get the dress that you really want. After all it is your special day.

Best wishes.

If no alterations have been made, you can switch to another style, but make sure you are allowing time for alterations. I know a girl that purchased a bridesmaids dress from Davids bridal, then the wedding was canceled. They allowed her to return the dress for store credit, and use this to put towards another dress for a different wedding. I would suggest that you call the store and find out what their store policy is. Good luck!

The way layaway works is you put down a percent of the total cost of the item (your dress) and then you have a certain amount of time to pay it off. If you want to cancel the purchase, you should get all of your money back.
