Shaq was about that height when he was that age and I don't think he has it. Maybe you're just tall for your age and really thin, could be genetics.
I'm obviously not a doctor, but you could research giantism on the internet. Good Luck Kid!!

I wouldn't say you have giantism, you're just tall. I'm 16 and 5'11 and i'm a girl! I'd say the average at that age for a guy is 5'8 but that doesn't mean you have a problem. Accept your height, that's what I had to do!

No you are tall. Giantism would have you much taller at a much earlier age. Giantism also comes with a number of related health problems, which you don't mention either way.

My grand daughter is 13 years old and 6' 1" my grandson, another daughter and a cousin to the other is 14 years and 6' 1" I'm 67 years and 6'1" another grandson by my son was 15 and 6' a grand son by another daughter yet is 6' 2" They're all tall and still growing, they don't have what you termed as gigantism, however I did see a lady, she's been on the news etc. She is something like 7' 8" but a giant. Her speech is deep, a silver dollar could pass through her ring. Tall doesn't necessarily mean gigantism, it has to meet other criteria.

That's really tall for your age, but it's possible you're just... really tall.
If you don't have any other malformations excepting the fact you're tall, I wouldn't say that there's anything wrong with you.
Abraham Lincoln had unusually long limbs for his body size, he had a condition known as acromegaly, which means large extremeties. That condition is from a late fusion of the growth plate in the long bones of the body.
but if everything's proportional, you're fine; just really tall. =P

I don't know if you do, but the sure way to find
out would be to have your parents make an
appointment with an Endocrinologist. The M.D.
doctors in that specialty will be able to diagnose you
correctly. Hope this helps you.
