Ive read it several times here. How many of you are Christian, but dont subsribe to a denominationl religion? And why?

I'll go first.I am a Christian, but do not subscribe to any organized religion, due to the fact I think most of them have become based around man and his interpretation of God, not actually around God.

I'm a Christian that does not subscribe to any denomination.

Why?

I follow Christ Jesus.

Who does Lutherans follow? Luther?

A follower of Jesus is called a Christian, and YES, that IS in the Bible.

If you want to follow Jesus, then BE a Christian.

I totally agree with DaemonStorm. I am a non-denominational Christian, if you have a denomination, I guess you could say they have laws, a minister, etc. You are more of following the person or law rather than following Christ. Having a relationship with Him is the best way to fulfill what He is telling you. I am not 'religious' because it's not a religion.

After being in a specific denomination that I left, I feel that I am closer to God by being in a non-denomination church. In my church, there are people that have left other organized denominations as well, and our main objective is to truly worship God through the Bible and it's teachings. That is what has worked best for me.

I thought a poll represented both sides . . . those who feel a need to subscribe to a demonation and those who don't . . . that is not what you asked though . . .

I am a Christian and through prayer & guidance I found the denomiantion that I believe is the most true to the word of God.

That's right. My wife and I are in a relationship with Christ, not a religion as such.

We all know and see what religion does to people and how hateful it can be. Not all of it, but the majority.

Religion tends to take their eyes off who our Lord really is.

I am a Christian too, & I don't base my Faith on any denominations, I was raised up Methodists, & change to Pentacostal, Before I was even saved. Now I am in a non-denomination church, & if you had to put a name to it, It would be Apostolic Pentacost

I've been to so-called non-denominational churches. I love the Lord,
but those places still have thier little way of doing things, and if you
don't agree with everyhting they say, you're not welcome!
Like one didn't allow clapping. And one didn't allow playing music. People always make up for lack of understanding by creating rules!
Non-denominational my eye!

I don't because denomination does not really mater.I believe in GOD,that Christ died for my sin,and stands in my place at the judgement seat.

I have seen a few nondenominational Christians on here (Mia?) and they are just way too tolerant to be Christians.
