Street talk has it that half boiled eggs give men sexual vigour. So, imagine what the men would think if you're seen eating half boiled eggs with coffee late night in raunchy Geylang! ;-)

Eaten in moderation, and as long as the eggs are fresh and not infected with salmonella or other microorganisms, and you are not cholesterol sensitive, it can be part of a healthy diet.

New insights into the fatty foods/heart disease connection reveal that in people with normal cholesterol metabolism it's not cholesterol that clogs arteries, it's foods high in saturated and hydrogenated fats. There is a small proportion of people who are termed "cholesterol sensitive," because their blood cholesterol levels rise when they eat foods high in cholesterol. In the great majority of the population, the amount of cholesterol in the diet does not affect blood cholesterol, since cholesterol is manufactured in the liver regardless of whether or not you eat it in a food. Saturated fats (and factory-made fats, such as hydrogenated ones) are far greater problems than dietary cholesterol, and compared with some other foods, eggs are not an especially high source of saturated fats. (Egg white is almost pure high-quality protein: so if you are a cholesterol- sensitive person, skip the yolk and eat the white.)

Eggs are pretty good for you, Mostly the egg whites which are all protein; the most efficient protein on the planet. The yolk is just cholesterol and not all that great for you when compared to the whites. But it's all good.... eggs are good =)

Eggs are an great source of protein, and good fats, but the yolk is high in cholesteral. So as with everything you eat it should be in moderation. G'luck and stay healthy

Egg yolks can raise your cholesterol. If not cooked enough, eggs can contain salmonella typhi, which causes typhoid fever.
