Of course we are concerned. We are one of the worlds largest consumer societies and contribute more than our fair share to the detriment of the environment...however we also lead the way in many environmental repairs and solutions such as recycling, alternative fuel sources, wildlife protection and rehabilitation and nationwide environmental legislation on these and many other issues that forces communities all over America to be a part of the solution, rather than a part of the problem. Our Philosophy is to think globally, but act locally.

I am very concerned. We are killing Mother Earth our home. I hope to write a book soon and am doing research now.
I am trying to do my part and we can all do some of these:
Stop buying stuff you dont need
Recycle cans, bottles, plastic and paper
Dont dump so much in landfills
Recycle motor oil
Use clean supplies (like detergent)
Use energy saving appliances
Use energy saving light bulbs
Use water saver toilets
Eat low on the food chain
Carpool to work
Use mass transit and keep the car at home
Do not buy an SUV or other gas guzzler
Stop Junk mail
Save the rainforests (donate money)
Try composting
Stay involved and vote for those that work to improve our environment.

yea i am concerned. i do whatever i can. i try to drive as little as possible - i think my car has been out of the garage one this month. Plus, i like riding my bike - its good for your knees too. I stopped using paper towlels - its not that hard to keep some old rags around and wash them. Unfortunately, i still take long showers - im working on that one. I try to vote for people who share my values. I try to USE LESS, and re-use things like plastic goods. BASICALLY, I TRY NOT TO BE THE STEREOTYPICAL FAT, LAZY AMERICAN, who is closed minded and very, very, very, selfish. Observing how people react to environmental issues really hsows how childish most adults are. Rather than admit to the reality of a given situation and react accordingly, in a responsible fashion, they retreat into a ball of accusations and denial, and argue that they should not be bothered. Bothered? Thats exactly what i mean, FAT, LAZY, STUPID AMERICANS.
(sorry i guess you hit a nerve here)

We have the toughest environmental laws of any industrial country in the world for known pollutants and we have laws that enforce these laws. Tougher than Europe on >90% of the laws for what is put in the environment.
