Depends wot straightners you have.
Some are absolutely rubbish.. and end up ruining your hair. I reccomend ones with ceramic, and ions. These can be qutie pricy but the ceramic makes the straightners go through your hair a lot easier, and smoother. Then the ions make your hair shiny. which means it is alot less noticable if youve burnt you hair.

Also, there are some serums you can use which u put on whilst the hair is wet, which protects your hair for two or three days.

if u hav fine hair u have to be careful of the heat setting. try a cooler setting and ALWAYS use a heat protectant like u r doing. if not it will be alot worse. anytime u r able to let ur hair go for a day or more without heat styling, do that also. deep conditioners can help also, sounds like ur hair is very fragile at this point, never use a brush on wet hair, use a pick or wide tooth comb. never use the flat iron or curling iron on wet or even damp hair. must be completely dry as it will scortch the hair.

Try these hot oil massages...they will help in maintaing the natural sheen of your hair and will also condition your hair:

Hot oil massages: Warm 2 tsp. of olive oil and 2 tsp. coconut oil and gently massage every part of the scalp for 10-15 minutes. Rinse a towel in hot water, wipe and wind the hair around the head as it cools. Repeat 2 or 3 times to issue total saturation. After that, shampoo and rinse well. It is good for brittle dry hair.

Hot Caster oil massage: Warm ½ cup of castor oil, massage into scalp and gently comb it. Bind the hair with hot towel on the head, wait for 30 minutes. Shampoo and rinse. As it is home made is so good to use for scanty hair.

Clove oil honey massage. Stir well ½ cup of green olive oil with 1 cup of liquid honey. Shake vigorously. Keep the mixture to settle for a day or two. Massage into the scalp and comb it not touching the scalp. After massaging cover hair with plastic shower cap. Make it air tight to let the heat penetrate, leave like that for 20 to 30 minutes. Then shampoo and rinse well. It is good for dark hair to keep it shining and lustrous.

Take care!

Bottom line hon, if you use straighteners all the time..........your hair is gonna fry!!

You can limit the damage done by turning the heat down a little, and by doing an intense moisture treatment on your hair once a week.
Oh yeah, and make sure you get those ends trimmed regularly.

use ceramic straightners if you don't already and use a hot oil treatment for your hair once a week.

Turn the heat on your straightener down and use thermasilk to wash your hair and only flatten your hair when its dry
