Be honest. I've been in similar situations, and the best thing is not to let it linger - if the feelings are gone, they're gone. Break it off before you hurt him more. But, if you still care for him, then the 'we can be friends' line can come into it too. Just don't say it, though, if you know you can't be mates.

You might want to take this kind of slow. If you break up with him all of the sudden and you get mad at each other you probably will have to forget about his friend, because if you have a bad breakup with him he will probably say nothing but bad things about you to his friend. My advice is to take things slow and maybe you can break up without having bad feelings about each other. You want to make sure that he understands that you really do like him, but only as a friend and make sure that he understands that you really want to keep him as he really dear friend. Remember you once thought he was something special so be careful and like I said take your time because it takes a while to make a relationship and also takes time to write one off without hurting someone.

break off with him right away... then you should wait awhile before checking out the friend. If you jump in with boy number 2 right away people will talk bad about you and you may cause problems between the two guys.

just tell him. it is worse to pull some kind of stunt to get rid of him than it is to just make a clean break. as far as his friend goes...If you want to be hated and emotionally scar your current guy forever...go ahead...but if you have even one ounce of respect for him and yourself...you won't date his friend...that is the wost thing you can do to a guy...dump him for his own friend?
you want to be labeled a B***H? do you want guys to ignore you because he will tell everyone that you broke up with him for his friend...if you just tell him how you feel and look somewhere else for a man instead of his small pool of friends you could at least retain some self respect...if his friend is that important to you, you won't put him in that situation with his friend. You should date at least one other guy before you date your currents friend.

Id just enjoy myself and consider him a regular friend to have some fun with.We dont have to like all the people to go out with ..Dont you agree?
but liking his friend sounds a bit awkward ..He'll be hurt if he knows ..Hummm ..maybe if his friend likes you too .you both can tell him the truth.

You should stop talking to him and just move on completely. Dont talk to his friend b/c it would be wrong. If he was to do it to you, wouldnt you think it was wrong of him?
