This is the fourteenth year I have chaired a neighborhood "Spirit of Christmas". Friends, family, neighbors and co-workers donate money and we "adopt" children less fortunate than ours. We purchase clothing, books and toys - wrap and deliver them before Christmas from Santa's Elves. This year we are shopping for 35 moms and their children. The mom's are doing everything they can to graduate and make a better life for themselves and their children.

I am going to be doing alot of charity this holiday season. I have donated food to my local pantry every month and continue to do so. I will be working at the soup kitchen I volunteer at on Christmas. Also I always pick a child off the Christmas Trees you see in stores this time of year. Basicaly you pick a child who comes from a low income family who can't afford to buy thier child a Christmas gift and you get them a gift.

well for christmas this year i'm helping out with a local children's cancer program by wrapping gifts in the mall its a great way to have an excuse to go to the mall and who doesnt have fun wrapping gifts. but if u cannot find a local children's cancer program like i did u can always look to your local salvation army that are always looking for help in bell ringers. you might also want to try your local food shelter and see if there is anyway u can help by giving canned donations.

The holiday season is more then just christmas. I collected and donated several bags of non-perishable food to the food bank.

Well, I am giving money to a charity, Heifer. It buys livestock and gives it to families that need it, to help them survive and get food.

But if you don't want to give money, try just participating in a walk-a-thon, working at a homeless shelter, working in a soup kitchen.
