I wouldn't eat it past 4 days. If you want to keep it longer, freeze it and pull it out the morning you feel like chili.

It will be bad for you after 5 days. What I do when I make my chili is to make it one evening, refrigerate it and then serve it the next day. I also portion it out into freezer containers the day I serve it. I keep 2 meal's worth of chili in the fridge and the rest goes into the freezer.

Estimate 3-4 days..... Most say to freeze....
May I suggest canning..... an old idea that works great...
The reason most do not can much anymore is it takes WORK!!
But the payoff is great.... nothing better... things taste as good as they did when canned....
I have 12 pints of chili in my cubbard right now just waiting for me to pop the top, heat and garnish with cheese, sour cream or whatever my heart would desire.....
Love my homemade chili..... Love to eat... Give Canning A Try...
Chili, Soups, what ever...
Oops! 11 pints of chili, forgot I eat one already

3 or 4 days no problem, but NEVER store chili in aluminum containers or with aluminum foil over the top of the container it will taint it and will go bad very quickly.

Chili is extremely freezable. I think it even tastes better the second time around.

Chili gets better with a little age! I keep it until mold starts growing (7-12 days?) - and even that won't hurt you!

Only 3-4 days. But, why don't you put it in a freezer bag, date it and it will be good for at least 1 month.

I ususally go for no longer than 3 days. Then I package it up and toss it in the deep freeze. It's a nice emergency meal.

I would say if you aren't going to eat it within a couple of days you should freeze it, that way it will be just as fresh as when you made it.
