here is my answer:
Prophet Muhammad, sallalahu 'alaihi wa sallam, was forty years of age when Angel Gabriel appeared before him and informed him that he was a Prophet of the One God. He was himself unaware, prior to that event, of this status of his. And even though we know that he never worshipped the idols of Arabia that even his wife worshipped, we do not know if, or how, he prayed daily.
There were other Arabs, known as Hunafa, who also refused to worship idols. They worshipped One God, made the annual pilgrimage (Hajj) to His Holy Temple in Makkah that Abraham, 'alaihi al-Salaam, had built, and sacrificed animals every year on the occasion of that pilgrimage in commemoration of Abraham's trial of sacrifice of his only son, Ishmael, 'alaihima al-Salaam.
Sometime after that first visit the Angel came one day and taught Muhammad, sallalahu 'alaihi wa sallam, how to perform ablution before prayer. The hands were to be washed, then the mouth, nostrils and entire face, then the arms up to the elbows, then the wet hand was to be passed over the head, and finally the feet were to be washed.
Some eleven years later, after the Prophet had been summoned in a miraculous celestial journey by night from Makkah to Jerusalem and then into the heavens to the special Divine presence, and had received the Divine gift of 'five times daily prayer', Angel Gabriel came to him one day and led him in prayer five times during that day,
- once in the early morning (after dawn but before sunrise),
- once in the early afternoon (after the sun had crossed the zenith but before mid-afternoon),
- once in the later afternoon (but before the setting of the sun),
- once after the sun had set,
- and finally in the early hours of the night (after twilight had ended).
On each occasion that day he led the prayer at the earliest time possible. He then returned another day and again led the Prophet in the same five times prayer, but this time he chose the latest possible time for each prayer. The Angel then announced that these were the five times of compulsory prayer, and that each prayer was to be performed within the timeframe just established.
In addition to these compulsory prayers there are voluntary prayers that could be performed at any time, but best of all in the early hours of the morning before dawn.
Since there is but One God, and hence but one Truth, and only one true religion (i.e., the religion of 'Abraham' from whose name the name 'Brahma' appears to have originated) the implication is that whoever worships the One true God must pray these five times compulsory prayers every day. Anyone who does not perform the five times daily prayers lives an essentially pagan life since the compulsory prayer is the very foundation of the religious way of life.
When Jesus, the true Messiah, 'alaihi al-salaam, returns, he, also, will pray five times a day in the same way that Angel Gabriel taught Prophet Muhammad to pray, and in the same way that Muslims pray to this day (without chairs, benches, pews, etc.)
They stand barefooted before Allah Most High in prayer, then bow down, sit flat, and prostrate themselves with their faces on the earth. They do so 'five times a day', and will continue to do so Insha Allah in defiance of the godless world, and regardless of the price they already pay for that defiance.
And they do so with the absolute conviction that Truth must eventually triumph over its wicked godless enemies.
They also recite in every prayer the opening Surah of the Qur'an in which they ask to be guided on "the straight path - the path of those whom Thou hast blessed, not the path of those who earn Thine anger, nor of those who go astray."
any more quest? IM me

Dear znz_zan!
Its a very good question which, if answered properly is certain to clear the doubt building inside you. Lets come to the point.
Like all religions the Islam or Muslim religion has also some rules to be followed by the believers.
Islam believes in one God and God has no figure or idol. Prophet Mohammad PBUH (Peace be upon him) is the last Prophet. There are five Pillars of the religion for the followers of Islam, whom we call Muslims. Kalma, Namaz, Roja, Zakat and Haj.
Prophet Mohammad PBUH, as ordered by Allah (God) and demonstrated by Archangel Gabriel introduced five-times a day prayer. Fazr (dawn), Juhr (noon), Asr (afternoon), Maghrib (dusk or after Sunset) and Esha (evening). There are other prayers also. But these five-time prayer is Farz or mandatory for every Muslim throughout the World. So every faithful Muslim prays five times a day.
Your next question regarding shouting of Allah Akbar or God is Omnipotent is a part of that ritual of prayer. You'll hear it five-time every day. Actually its an invitation or a reminder for the Muslim informing them of the approaching prayer time. Its called Azaan.
Wherever there's a Mosque and people, I mean Muslims congregrate or gather for mass-prayer in those places Azaan is announced publicly. Certainly Allah is not deaf but we the mortal human beings may not only be deaf but may be so engrossed that forgot about the prayer time or simply become unmindful. Azaan gives a reminder that your prayer-time has started so be prepared for your prayer. Perhaps you know Muslim gives top priority to bodily cleanliness and purity. So before starting prayer one has to go through the procedure of ablution or washing his face, hands, feet.
I hope my answer will satisfy your query.
May Allah bless you.

Muslims only pray 5 times a day!! It shows our humbleness and our gratitude for the many blessings God has bestowed upon us. If praying 5 times a day makes us any less of a religion, so be it!! I think its beautiful that we are the only religion that has a prescribed way of praying. Muslims all over the world pray at the same time and facing the same direction (how unified are we? lol). As far as yelling Allahu Akbar from rooftops... Do you mean the call for prayer, they're not yelling for God to hear them, they're yelling to let the people know its time to come pray!!

No Allah is not deaf but some people are....
and its not too many times if you consider the time you spent eating sleeping haveing....
then again muslims are muslims but one thing is true most of them dont know why they do it.
beside Allah O Akbar in Arabic is the equivalent of God Great
then again why so many people are obssed with the word Allah as if its another God, English and Anglais are two diffrent words but if I use one instead of another does it mean I am refering to a different nationality

When you say Allah Akbar you are proclaiming to God that he is great and that he has power over all things. If you truly think God is real and God has created you and created every single thing that inhabits the planet- including the air you breath- then why not pray to him 5 times a day? It is out of great respect and fear and love for a God who allows us our life.

This is a call for the prayers. This is not just like bells in the mandir to wake the lords. Muslims pray a many times but what about hindus they worship many at the same time. Be it a snake or a male organ of Shiv.
The prayer in Islam are scientifically proved. It is prayers and an exersise too. Learn more about Islam and you will be one of them.

Eventhough I am not a Muslim, you question is offensive. There are better ways of asking a question. However,
"buttafly... starra" answered it very well.
The sound "Allah o Akbar" sounds so sweet to the ears. Prayers always sound sweet. It does not matter in which language or religion it belongs to.

It skill "God is the main suitable!" and that's a spiritual call in Islam, and there are comparable expressions in Christianity besides. i think of you mustn't refer those words to terrorism. Any religious extremist thinks he's doing something in God's call and that has not something to do with any specific faith. regrettably, religious extremists are diverse in Muslim international locations those days yet i've got confidence that comes from political and least costly problems maximum of them dealing with and not from their faith. If we are trustworthy, in another epochs Christians have been plenty greater religiously extreme than Muslims or any others. Btw. they don't have confidence in people as gods. they suspect in one and basically God that's all recent, all understanding, with none shape etc. i've got confidence that we Christians have confidence in sth very equivalent to that and truthfully there are so plenty greater similarities between Christianity and Islam than there are adjustments. adjustments are in religious prepare yet faith is very just about a similar.

not soo many times but just 5 times a day mostly, and its just to meet Allah 5 times a day , Allah o Akber is takbeer ,means ALlah is great and mostly when it is said loudly during prayers in mosques its mean that now muslims should move to next step of Salah(prayer) , and Allah is not deaf , he can listen to us even when we are just thinking of him.
