don't eat bananas as they can make it more firm. You can eat apples, prunes, raisins, oranges, those will help soften you up. good luck

Prune juice is great, concentrated or made with pulp is the best. I have also used raisin brand cereal, which I feel is better than prunes or prune juice. To help prevent this in the future, try having a glass of prune or orange juice with pulp once a day. Laxatives are not to be used frequently, as they tend to make your system immune to such products.

Vitamin C in general will cause you to go. Take a C vitamin of at least 500 milligrams and wash it down with prune juice.

I can see the market for prunes growing fast ... however you might also try finding psyillium husks - sold in health food shops under a variety of names, one of which is Regucol - it's a calorie-free, non-violent bulking agent (as you'd see if you dropped a small quantity into a glass of water and watched it swell up) and that's a pretty good way of helping things along in a healthy fashion.

I don't know about fruits or veggies, but when my husband is constipated, he eats some Taco Bell. That usually does the trick.

Prunes are the thing.. but I personally think they are nasty, I eat dried dates or raisens to help me. erm.. I dont know why also, but if you are familiar with the lebanese salad "tabouli".. the parsley wheat salad.. whenever I eat it.. I go like mad the next day.. lol, must be the fiber from the wheat.. Drink gallons of water also..

Prunes are the best. Peaches, grapes, onions, peppers, pears will all add bulk and help. Nuts are good too...especially peanuts.

Sprinkle garbanzo beans on your salad. These are full of fiber. There are many powdered fibers on the market today, that you just add to your regular cooking. These are tasteless and you don't even know they are there.
