A reason, sure. Just not always a purpose or a meaning.

There is a reason everything happens yet most of the time it is not clear to us.
Our souls charted this course on Earth long before we arrived here. God give us free will so at times we can get off that course and stray. But if we are following the course as we planned, we will experience Deja vu every once in awhile. It shows up we are on course and reminds us we made the path.
The interesting part is, when things are up or things are down it happends for a reason for your souls growth. If we come to Earth to learn and life us just a bowl of cherries what have we learned? Nothing?
If we come here and life is a bowl of cherries with bumps and bruises we learn from these trying times (death, pain, anger etc).
It is all so complex. Read some books by Sylvia Browne, any and it will open your eyes.

If you're asking if everything that happens to us happens for a purpose, then I would have to say no. Many things are simply serendipitous, they happen through a confluence of events to complex to comprehend. Sometimes it is simply being in the wrong or right place at the right (wrong) time. We construct meaning in order to rationalize these random events.
We can however, learn from most things that happen to us. We construct the meaning and determine what to do. The silly old cliche "If the world gives you lemons, make lemonade." is the common expression of this idea. The best we can hope in this world is that the cosmos is indifferent, it treats us all equally.

Yes there is logic not reason behind everything. If every you have experienced some bad days and you have done some good in those bad days then you are rewarded in the future, and you thank God for all this. Every thing which happens is for the better.

Everything has reasons. But rember, every action has a reaction too.
So, the things matters to us can be good or bad depending on the chain of actions and it's reactions.

Yes, Jason say reason for everything can be summed up in two things. Yea, the two things be as follows; God and his gift of free-will. Everything springs from these two things.
P.S. and the purpose of all things is to glorify God.

Elliot has it right. There is always a reason that a thing occured but this does not mean there is always a moral to be drawn from the occurance (or that god is trying to tell us something).

God has a reason for everything. Sometimes it's not for us to know "why", A big part of Faith, is accepting His decisions without always understanding them.

People who tell me that everything happens for a reason, have been unable to tell me reasons for babies to be stillborn, women to be raped, extreme weather that kills,
murder, suicide, addiction, or teenagers fighting in wars.

There is always a reason. But "reason" is different from purpose and meaning.
Purpose and meaning is what we make for ourselves. Reason is just natural laws interacting.
