Not exactly. However, the Christian god found it not within his liking to help me live the life that was prescribed according to Christian preachers.
I grew up in a family that suffered from sexual abuse by clergy.
I grew up transgendered.
I prayed and prayed and prayed, spending countless hours on my knees praying that god would alter my mind so that I could live a worthy life and attain heaven. God was not forthcoming with any miracles.
I have since found a different path, with a compasionate deity, and realized that I am who I am meant to be. I can be a person of dignity and respect, with people and deity loving me for the person I am. My prayers are being answered even as I type.
Some will dislike this post. Some will say that I lacked faith. Some will say that I didn't pray long enough. Some will say that I didn't "endure unto death". I feel that a life spent doing nothing but praying for deliverance is an insult to deity. Service is what each of us are meant for, and being paralyzed praying for deliverance instead of being of service doesn't work.

It is people that turn away from God, not the other way around.
Need an example? There are a few in the answers to your question...

I was 20 years old when my husband passed away (brain tumor). We had a daughter that was 15 months old at the time. When she was about 5 or 6, I asked God what was gonna happen to Lisa and I. What His plan for us?
I closed my eyes, opened my Bible and pointed. This is what he showed me: Isaiah 54:4-10. Please read it.

GOD will never turn you away, if you come to HIM. How can GOD give you good gifts if you do not ask for them? I'm not talking about raising your loved ones from the dead, becoming a billionaire, etc.

If you are asking if, when a child in a tough way, I asked for help and felt it was not answered, I guess the answer would have to be yes. Not once, but several THOUSAND times... See a good man who loved his family die, while a total bastard down the block continues to thrive..... "Will of God", right ??? Sorry, I do not believe in fairy tales anymore.......

NEVER EVER.
If we feel turned away it is actually our choices as God gives us FREE-WILL.
It depends on how we use our free-will as to how our lives turn out. We can never blame God.
