She works next door to my work and i see her often, I think she is very attractive and have never seen a ring on her hand, so i know she isnt married? we have said hi to each other but nothing else, also one day i notice she was looking at me walking across their parking lot and she has waved and smilled as she has drove by me. So how can i get her number? I dont want to use a cheesy pick up line or sound like I m desperate.

Ugh! I cannot imagine being a guy and having to deal with "making the first move." Us women have it so easy - while you guys have to be cleaver and creative to get our attention.
You're only desperate if you're desperate. Making the first move towards a woman doesn't make your desperate - it makes you INTERESTED!! The next time you say "Hi" - just add something like - "Hey - I'm thinking of going out to one of my favorite places today for lunch - would you like to go too?" or something like that. If she's interested in you - she'll go. Or if she has other plans and is interested in you - she'll let you know that she's interested in a raincheck. Once you have lunch - or dinner - or coffee or whatever - just talk about what you love to do - see what you have in common - and then ask for her number so you can invite her to the "upcoming health fair" or "dog show" or "AC/DC concert" or whatever it is that you find you have in common.
Your heart is soooooooooo in the right place. You'll do great!

Just walk up to her in the parking lot and say, "Would you be interested in going for coffee sometime?". The ball will then be in her court. From her answer you will know whether or not to pursue it. If she seems amenable then say, "How about giving me your number and I'll call you later to sort out a good time for you?" It doesn't have to be coffee , it could be breakfast on a weekend, or cocktails in the evening but coffee is safe and so is a daytime date. Good Luck!

Why don't you just say "I think you are really attractive and would like to get to know you better, I don't want to give you some cheesy line to get your phone number, so here's mine, give me a call sometime". Trust me..women love honesty and she'll love the fact that you gave her YOUR number instead of putting her on the spot to give you hers. Good luck!

If you like her take your time. The best way is to find out about her is to strike up conversations with her when you can. You will get little tidbits of information and find out if she is interested and single. After a few small conversations say, "Hey, how would you like to continue this conversation over a cup of coffee or something to eat after work?" All she can say is yes or no. Make it casual.

Buy a small bouquet of flowers with a note attached asking her out. Something simple. Call your local florist and tell him or her the situation and they can set you up nicely. Have the bouquet delivered to her. She likes you already. That would be a nice gesture I think she would love. Good luck.

well if you work next to each other,you gotta eat! just make sure you run into her during lunch a couple of times that alone will give you a reason to speak,and then ask her to go to lunch with you.not only will you be able to get her phone number you will be get to know her and be eating lunch with her already!

Ok.....If you see her again strike up a casual conversation. Like hey how are you today? Maybe after a few little conversations just say. I would like to talk to you more. You seems like a fun person. Here is my number. GIve me a call sometime. Then leave it up to her. If she like you then she'll call.

as a woman i never ask guys out (i know very old fashioned but prefer not to have to handle rejection)
I agree ask her for lunch or if you see her after work one night, ask her for a drink - see what she says
