Depends on how hard you work at it. Although 9 times out of 10 it does not work because you both have the space to find new loves, and forget about one another. If you stay committed to the relationship then it may last a long time. But the toughest thing when it comes to long distant relationships is honesty. One of you can say that nothing is going on, but with all honesty something can be going on and you'll have no clue what to do and won't have the chance to find out what is going on.
If you really want it to work, then you have to work on Honesty, but in all reality I would nt count on it if you are both not willing to work hard on keeping the fire going.

That is tough.....It can if you are both committed, but you are both human. We aren't perfect. I am sure this is not going to be the best answer because it probably isn't what you want to hear, but honestly. If it is meant to be it will be. BUT I just can't see that working honey. If you can find a way to move there with him, you have it made, if not. It just doesn't seem possible. I am sorry and I wish I could have given you the answer you want to hear, but that would be crappy to give someone false hope. Good luck Sweetie...I feel for you.

New York? Well, you might as well end the relationship now and save yourself the heartache of doing it later. He will get involved with someone else I guarantee it and it doesn't matter what kind of front he puts on for you he will not remain faithful. Don't wait around for the lies and deceitfulness to start. You will be the only one hurt in the end not him.

Unfortunately statistics reveal that most, if not all, long distance relationships result in failure, however the memories will last as long as those involved wish them to, and there is always the possibility that the future holds a reuniting of such couples...

If you two really love each other then you can make it work. Make sure you write letters back and forth and talk on the phone and computer all the time.

it becomes very difficult to have a long distance relationship.. at first you are calling each other every day.. then not so much until it becomes 1 every 2 weeks.... unless you see each other 1 every 3 months.. it will fail...

They rarely ever work. If he's going to be away for an extended time, break up and then go back out when together again. If it was meant to be, you should have no problem getting yourselves back together!! :)
