That sounds like teh goverment ...they want you to have rights...but to a limit. It stupid if u ask me. I mean...yeah ill get sent to purgatory for not following the laws...but didnt you give us teh CHOICe as in we could do what ever we want...its ours to make. If you wanted us to follow the laws... next time make a human race without free will...

Will you graduate high school or college if you do not make the grade? Will you be promoted and given a raise in your job if you do not qualify? Will you be given a driver's license if you cannot pass your driving test?
What are you a piece of a rock, no brains, no soul, just a piece of an inert element? Have you ever wondered why you were given a functioning brain? What if you were a vegetable or a Down syndrome person? Don't you appreciate what you magnificently have?
You came into this world for a purpose and you have to do that purpose, whether you like it or not.
You're just another passenger on planet Earth, you go with the flow. You cannot defy the law of time or the law of gravity, much more so the Captain of the ship, who is the Creator. You're just another dust in the wind. You're just another mortal given the chance and the opportunity to enjoy life, but abide with the rules as he rules the vast and infinite universe.

God sends us to hell? Well - maybe according to some religions or spiritual beliefs - but not by mine. God is LOVE. It will not send us to hell. There is no hell. If you check out Religious Science - you'll see that we DO have free will - and when we are good people - right here - right now - we feel God within us.

You're right - it doesn't make sense. Because it is not true. I don't believe that God is a "Him" - it's not a "Big Daddy in the Sky" with a bunch of rules - dangling rewards in front our noses if we follow them. Being a good person and practicing love, compassion, caring, etc. - is what it's all about. There is a Universal Law - and it works just like nature - plant a seed and a plant will grow. We're the same way - fill your heart with good stuff - and good stuff will come out. It's very simple.

God is the power of LOVE. Hell is just... well - it's just silly. It's not about waiting until you die and God deciding if you followed "the rules" or not. The rewards and the "punishments" are happening right now in our hearts!

There is no such thing as FREE WILL. We just created that to make.

Since Genesis, God already gave Adam and Eve a Commandment and bestowed upon the liberty to name animals, etc.

The commandment was, DO NOT EAT the fruits from the Tree of Knowledge and the Tree of Life.

Those were the FIRST commandments.

Man disobeyed and therefore was cursed. The woman shall bear her child in pain. The man shall toil the earth in order to survive.

These were the FIRST punishment.

Until now, we are CURSED with the same fate.

Read Genesis and you'll know.

God does not send anyone anywhere. First of all, there is no one burning in hell right now and there is no such thing as purgatory. The explanation about what happens after death from the Bible can be found here....

If you have more, real questions about hell and purgatory, email (tykeels@netscape.net) He says its okay.

By the choices we make we are developing character. It is our character that determines whether or not we can be trusted in heaven. We have been given the power of choice and the choices we make determine the kind of person we become before we die.

The principles and laws that God has given are for the development of a beautiful character that can be safely trusted in heaven. If the sum total of a person's lifetime of choices leaves them under the control of the human weakness of selfishness, that person cannot be trusted in heaven.

God does not save anyone against their will or without their cooperation. He wants to save everyone but not everyone really, truly wants to be saved. Truly being saved means being saved from oneself by the power of God's love; saved from the principle of selfishness which every human being has within them.

God in mercy must abbreviate the life of those whose life choices place them in bondage to the tyrant of selfishness and make them a danger to others around them. Whenever the people of God or heathen turned away from God in the Bible, they descended into the lowest depths of depravity in self worship. Read about it in the Old Testament: sacrificing babies on altars of fire, murder, rape, sex with animals, etc. It was terrible. The most loving thing that God could do was to cut short their suffering and the suffering of those around them.

This will utimately be the result for those who reject God. All selfishness in human nature tends to an extreme conclusion. Murder of the Creator if He can be reached. Look at the cross and what happened to Jesus.

If you have ten kids and you raise them the same, by the same rules and dress them alike they will all pretty much turn out the same. When they have reached maturity you will set them free to pursue their on lives. Over the course of the years you will make judgments based on how they have lived their lives and treated you. You will write a will and give unto them as they have given unto you.
You should realize that heaven, hell and purgatory are symbolistic representation of the thinking of medieval minds. We really do not know what is waiting for us when we die.

What doesn't make sence??? God gave us the priviliage to choose God or satan. Their it is. If you choose satan over God, you yourself sent your own self to hell. God did not send you there. you condemned your self. If you dont' want to go to hell, you must obey God, turn your life over to Him thorugh accepting Jesus as your savior and become a born again Chrisitan.

Those are the two choices. you have the freedom to choose heaven or hell. Which ever one YOU Chose, You and only you are responsible for where you shall spend all eternity. Stop blaming God if you made a choice that you are not able to live or die with as a result of the choice you made on your own.

Becase religion teaches that our lives here on Earth are a test to see if we are faithful to God, or if we stray and only care about the life we have here. The afterlife is what the religious people are trying to attain, and by following God here and not sinning-- a person shows that they are deserving of reward. If you just do whatever you want with no care or concern for the laws of your Creator- then are you deserving of his rewards?

Don't you want someone to love you for who you are? Would you want someone to love you just because of what you can give them? How can you know who is genuine if they were not free to make that choice? God shows his love and grace. God gave us His Word. You need to decide if you accept and believe or not.

Hey, you probably know the answer. The concept of the Biblical God is illogical for he is unjust and yet claiming to be all-loving and omnipotent.

That's why we should all follow the Flying Spaghetti Monster.
