The best thing about hair is that it grows back!
I had hair to my waist until last year and then went very short, 1/2 inch all over.

It has taken me a long time to get used to short hair and the only advantages are faster drying and if you experiment with colour it grows out faster.

After a year of giving short hair a real chance I am now growing it out long enough to hold at least a bit of a pony tail.

So take chances and be sure to ask the stylist what they think would work because the more they like what they are doing, the better your cut will be.

Personally I love long hair. I haven't seen many who look better with short hair. But the catch is that the long hair has to be healthy. If you have long hair but 7 inches of it is severely dry and broken then you will probably look better trimming that part off. But before cutting it off, I would probably try to salvage it with intensive repairing conditioners. When I was 13-15 years old the hairdresser kept cutting my hair off because the ends were bad so it would never grow past my shoulders. I started using Beyond the Zone Split Mender (a leave-in conditioner) from Sally's and just getting the ends trimmed instead of cut and it finally grew to my mid-back and looked healthy!

Get a trim. Ask to cut your hair 2 in - 2 1/2 in. The usually cut little more if the make a mistake. you would get a 3 in hair cut instead. Making your look short and also long. I suggest keep it long beacuse you want to be able to put hair in a pony tail.

No....long hair would look good on you. I'm growing my hair out more because I always have had it short. But if you have a bad haircut....I use johnson to Johnson baby shampoo to grow my hair back out again and to thicken it. It really works right after you wash your hair...so no problems!

You could get layers so that way tou have short hair on the top and long hair on the bottom

i tihnk thats a really good question .. a few inches past shoulder isnt really short but i tihnk it depends on you. For some people short hair works and i think we all know that for some people it just doesnt ... whatever is easiest for you, not your mom, will probably look totally cute

Long hair. Only a few women can pull off short hair.

a little past the shoulder with 1 layer is really cute!

if u want a little more to it ask them to razor cut the ends so its wispy and has a tapered look...

it looks really nice

also if u dont have bangs if u get your hair "angled" around your face it looks better ...more mature!

well i really hope this helps and good luck to you!

Just remember that hair cutters love long hair. Your is not that long but make sure they do not cut it off , or shorter then you want it when you are at the hair place...

Shorten it a little...you need to chip the ends for it to look good anyway.
