You are gonna have to come out and be straight with your parents. Tell them what you need and if they can help. But dont go into what kinda wedding you 'want'. Youve buried yourself by your spending and to ask someone else to pay for it, you dont have the right to make demands.
And you need to change your spending habits. I see financial disaster in your future if it continues.

Yes, you need to have a discussion with your parents about the cost of the wedding. Tell them about the dress you like and ask them if the price is OK. Also you need to get an overall amount that they are willing to spend for the wedding. That way you can figure out how to budget the money. Talk to them now.

It is accepted in society that the bride's parents pay for the wedding. The groom's parents pay for the rehearsal dinner, and the groom pays for the rings and honeymoon. Congratulations on your marriage!

sound to me like you are not ready to get married.if you are not finacially set, i would wait and save up more money.although your parents may help why put a budget on your wedding day,it should be skys the limit, and you should do what ever it takes to make that happen.

Yes, it is traditional for the brides parents to pay for the wedding.
That would certainly include your dress & all expenses...

Why not do something simple...like ASK what they are expecting to contribute...without communication and information, you cant plan at all.......and start saving your money ....

JUST TELL YOUR MOM THAT YOU TWO SHOULD SIT DOWN AND MAKE A LIST IF WHAT NEED TO DO BOUGHT AND WHAT SHOULD BE SPENT ON EACH THING THAT WAY YOU CAN SEE WHAT SHE IS WILLING TO SPEND.
