Yesterday when i was smoking marijuana, i thought of something very odd.
I was thinking about mathematical equations and such, when i glanced at a clock. And i thought to myself, is time the perfect mathematical equation?
Think about it. Time is neverending. similar to energy. Energy can neither be created or destroyed. If you are christian, muslim, or jew, then you know that God can neither be created nor destroyed also.
Numbers are also neverending (numbers were here before their symbols were.)
Time gives us the ability to come to conclusions (such as im doing here. But since energy requires time (such as the neverending expansion of the universe), did time create energy in itself? OR did energy create time? Or is God the founder of it? Or a part of energy and time? A clock is only a machine that RUNS with time. Its a portion of it. Similar to how the World Wide Web is a portion of the internet. Is time the perfect, most unsolvable mathematical equation?

Maybe we are a "product" of time. similar to the internet. when we close programs on the net, the internet is no longer functionable to that user. And when we die, time is no longer an issue or functionable for that dead person. Are we a product of time?
Please give intelligent answers.

Time, infinity, have always been something i can't fathom. How can time start - what was there before time? If there is an end to the universe what is beyond it? What is nothing?

Keep smoking that weed and you might end up a Nobel physicist.

Your mind (or maybe your drugs) is better than mine because it seems you have taken this line of thinking further than I am able to. I think you may be on to something though. I realized a while back that time is not absolute. Indeed if the theory of relativity is true, it can be manipulated. Physicists generally agree that space, time, and matter began at the big bang (i.e. creation). This puts whatever happened before that (if you can even say before seeing as how it was before time itself) was beyond all that we can fathom in this natural realm; by defintion, supernatural. Once you get to this point, which as I have stated above, virtually all cosmologists have, any explanation is going to be pure speculation and utterly fantastic.....that is unless this first cause has a mind and has chosen by His own volition to reveal Himself to us. I'm not sure why the superstring theory (and others like it) is easier for people to accept than God. On second thought, I think I do know. People want to be their own god.

Time is just states of molecular location and relocation. It's just our sensory perception and comprehension that matter (say, a stone, or dirt, or teeny tiny molecules or whatever) changes its location or substance. One moment it's this way, another moment that way. We just made up those "moments" measurement so we can measure the chronological (thus the word) distance of one happening from the other.
Our conclusions are a result of the distance, or travel, or whatever of states (in this case, braincells) from its beginning location to its end location. The same goes for the clock.

Time itself (unless i'm proven otherwise) doesn't move. It doesn't run. Virtually. It doesn't exist.

You need to get busy doing other things mate. You have WAYYYYYYYYY too much time (no pun intended) on your hands. Here is a corker of a question for you. Why are so many children dieing in the world every day? I put it to you that that is infinitely more relevant than yours. Anyway to answer your question? I think the clock on your wall had stopped is all.

Time is a human creation.

People are the founders of time; a measurement that we only use for our needs. Dogs don't care about time do they? Most animals and early humans used seasons and the stars to dictate things in their lives like harvests, or preparing for rain or cold. Seasons are not a measurement of time, but a change in climate.

Time is flawed, take the Dark Ages for example: We lost "time" as it was all but forgotten during that time period. Religion ruled, knowledge and books were bad (and burned). It was truely a dark time for both humans and time.

Time only exists to humans, and just like humans, time has it's flaws.

Interesting. Kinda trippy though. Time is a very difficult thing to fathom.

If you're into trippy stuff, check out this link:

(click the "Imagining the Ten Dimensions" link)

It in part relates to time. It's one man's idea on how we might imagine reality as being comprised of ten dimensions (or eleven depending on your point of view). This little presentation does *NOT* represent string theory! It's just a cool idea.

I think god created time and energy. the reason why is.. time is needed to start and finish things. but time it self is continuous and has no end. god created time to put every thing in the world and universe in order . with out time we would be lost.energy and numbers are continuous. and god created them as well . but the Creation of numbers was different than energy . he used man to created this discovery as well as he used man to tract time.

and on diffrent level it took me a bowl to fiqure out ! 420 all day , everyday

Time is only a unit of measure.

If I were to ask you have far can you travel in 30 min. What would your answer be?

I don't know if time is the greatest mathematical equation, but it's certainly one of the greatest Pink Floyd songs.
