I dont think the miles really matter as long as u take care of the car. I had a 1989 Chevy Blazer 4x4....I put 225,000++ miles on it before it quit. Take care of it. My sister had a pontiac firebird also & regretted sellin it afterwards.

i own a repair shop, and today there's really no sense in caring about mileage, because most of the high mileage vehicles have had engines put in them and have been kept up pretty good, so mileage unless it over 500.000 don't really matter that much,,especially on an older vehicle now days, people are buying the higher mileage ones as much or more than they ever did,,because there cheaper to buy,and most of them are in good shape also, like me i have 165.000 on my Nissan, and i have been offered more for it now than what i gave for it when i bought it,so if you have found one you like, don't let mileage scare you away from it,,good luck i hope this help,s.

ITS NEVER TOO MUCH. AS LONG AS YOU TAKE CARE OF VEHICLE WITH PREVENTIVE MAINTENANCE YOU CAN HAVE IT FOREVER. I HAVE A 2000 CHEVROLET BLAZER WITH OVER 205,000 THOUSAND MILES. I ONCE READ THE GUINESS BOOK OF WORLD RECORDS ON A VW WHICH HAD A MILLION MILES ON IT. SO KEEP THAT OIL CHANGED AND REGULAR MAINTENANCE............

Best bet, keep it under 140,000. But don't ever go over 200,000 unless you have your mechanic check it out.
