I own a 2 Y.O Grey/White Siberian Husky. He is stubborn at times and ignores you when they dont want to listen. My recommendation is to get Obedience training, that helped alot with our Siberian Husky.

Hope this helps!

These dogs were bred to think for themselves, running in front of a sled. They had to know where to go if the rider was sick or became unable to communicate, as well as know what the ice was doing without being told. They're some of the smartest dogs out there but will never be like a Lab or Golden that has been bred to please. That's part of the joy of owning a Husky. And it's also why so many are given up. And beyond that, it's why I can never have one even though I'm in love with them.

Because they were bred to be independent and think for themselves to a good extent. Pulling a sledge where the driver is what, 20 feet behind them, and THEY'RE the ones up front with nose-on knowledge of the terrain. If the driver tells them "Go left" and that means walking into a crevasse, they've got the intelligence to know not to do that, even though they were told to.

They'll listen and do what they're told, but only if they see a good reason to do so.
