>Dictating the Bible?

No. Some other religions "holy books" are claimed to have been written by or dictated by their deity. The Bible is said to have been written by inspiration. Holy men of old spoke as they were moved by the Holy Spirit. All Scripture is given by inspiration (theopneustos).

>so many contridictions?

It is easy to make an unsubstantiated claim of "so many contridictions". Considering the Bible had some 40 human authors over many centuries, and no original autographs are now known to exist -- it is a very remarkable book with a unity of thought. No doctrinal errors, if the text is read in context.

A) It is Islam that makes the claim that the Q'uran was dictated to Mohammed, NOT the Bible.

B) Inspiration works many ways. God gives someone a bright idea and says take it and run with it and they do. That's inspiration. Then there's someone who gets a bright idea on their own and runs with it and God says, not bad kiddo, send it out, and they do. That's another kind of inspiration. The Bible appears to have both these. Personally I always thought that Paul's Letter to the Romans was a great example of more than one kind of inspiration. After Paul's opening statements, where he greets people and commends himself to a bunch he's pretty sure he baptized, he gets down to the nitty-gritty, LOVE. He gives probably the best, most inspired definition of it ever, then after some dithering about costumes and customs, he starts waffling about on a variety of stuff, at which point it's fairly obvious that God stepped in and "inspired" Paul to shut up and go to bed.

There Aren't any Contradictions.
Did you know that (except Prophesy or Facts so on) you can Read a Scripture in the Bible one Year, and it Helps you out in the Situation you are in at that Time.
Then, 2 Years Later, in another Situation, you Read that Same Scripture and it Helps you Out Again in a Different Way (Meaning) in THAT Situation your In.
The Difference comes from What is Going on Inside of YOU at What Ever Time you Read that Same Scripture!
GOD is GOOD!
And GOD is Always Right!
(Try not to Argue with HIM! , Hahaha, you will Always LOSE!).
