If you ever get stuck in the sand, snow or mud they make a good shovel just stick it in the trunk of your new car.

You can throw it in the garbage.

You can recycle it. If you get a new car you can transfer that plate to your new car.

If you haven't use all of your months on it you can take it back to the court house and get some money back for the months you didn't use.

My husband saves all of his and hangs them on the garage wall like wall paper.

Get some wire cutters and tear up those plate numbers. You can't reuse these ever again and if somebody takes those they will blame you because there registered under your name if the car is stolen.

Keep it as an heirloom or destroy it... don't throw it away intact, someone could find it and use it and perhaps get you into trouble. You could cut it up into bits with a pair of tin snips or burn (melt) it in a fire.
