I just watched another UFC fight last night, and it seems like everyone 'kinda' knows how the different weight classes works and i was wondering if anyone could explain what the lowest weight to the highest weight class is. (like, lightweight, welterweight, light heavyweight etc.)

The UFC currently uses five weight classes:

* Lightweight: 146 - 155 lb (66 - 70 kg)
* Welterweight: 156 - 170 lb (70 - 77 kg)
* Middleweight: 171 - 185 lb (77 - 84 kg)
* Light Heavyweight: 186 - 205 lb (84 - 93 kg)
* Heavyweight: 206 - 265 lb (93 - 120 kg)

In addition, there are four other weight classes specified in the Unified Rules which the UFC does not use: Flyweight (125 lb and under), Bantamweight (126-135 lb), Featherweight (136-145 lb), and Super Heavyweight (265 lb and above).

It is the weakest b/c it doesn't have the depth that any of the other weight classes have. Plus some of the best fighters seem to be somewhere else. (Fedor, Barnett, Rogers). It isn't a bad division just the worst the UFC has right now.

I believe it goes:

155 and under--Lightweight
156-170--Welterweight
171-185--Middleweight
186-205--Light Heavyweight
206 and above--Heavyweight.

Although they seem to give an extra pound at weigh-in.
