Nooooo!

Nobody needs them outside the Islamic Countries.

Frankly, [a] their using those loudspeakers is a pain [b] they are known to be used for terrorist meetings [c] they are known to be used for Training children in Terrorism. And [d] they are least used for bona fide prayers, which are really by the way. since the Imams use this meeting for indoctrination and brain washing.

The burqa has already been banned by the Dutch and England and everybody else should do that in their own Countries now.

Anybody can see it's a Security Risk because a Terrorist can easily carry an arsenal under those robes and nobody can recognize him! But the Muslims have been demanding it as a Religious thing even though Muslims, themselves have said that it's not an Islamic requirement.

Why, you Brits have a case against you filed by a Muslim who was asked to step down from a Highly Sensitive Security Position; despite the fact that it was proven that he sent his children to madrases where Terrorist Training is imparted to children!?

I'd say ban the whole lot and revoke their citizenships and deport them. Maybe we'll hurt some people who are genuinely good; but then, we need to take that as acceptable collateral damage rather than leave our own people in the danger they pose.

I have no problem with mosques or any other religious bldgs if they are used for the right reasons.

Unfortunatly it has been proven that many are just breeding grounds to preach hatred and brainwash moderate muslims into becoming extremists,

The answer is still not to ban them as we must continue to promote multiculturalism, we must root out the nasty minority so that the majority can enjoy their religion in peace.

I do not follow any religion but I do believe in freedom of expression as long as its within the realms of common sense, live and let live but not at the expense of others...,,,

\so would you like all Churces to be closed in all Muslim countries, a natural retaliation. Why do such questions occur to civlised nations like the British. Where have your Philosophers of Ethics gone ? You do need Mosques Gurudwaras Mandirs Synagogues in UK to prove that you are cultured and civilised nation. Preach your mission to your minorities if you have the wisdom to Win converts by persuation and truth.

Even if u close all the churches through out the world, many new Mosques will emerge. You need not worry.

When the churches close because of the lack of christian worshippers, there shall be plenty of new mosques for true believers to pray in. It would be better closing all the pubs down, but then I suppose brainless fools like you would be arrested for jay walking.

dude read the islamic shariya(laws) you will see that everything there protects anybody from any sort of harm. for example you said right?? hijab (women who wear scarves and long dresses)is worn to conceal a womans beauty so no man would look at her or even consider raping her. and lying for your information is haram banned prohibited itl get you into hell. telling things in a way that it will not be lying or giving away unecassary info (for example if you are captive) is allowed (btw what are your sources) and the beating thing i know it means smite you wives (meaning tapping on their hand lightly-but ask a scholar for teh real reason cuz i dunno y its written either.(im only15yrs old).but i have no doubt that it has wisdoms in it that havent even been thought of by man cuz were so insignificant to Allah)

no country in the world today exercises shariya to its full extent but if there were a country like with it then it would be the most peaceful country for people..and the consequence for teft is chopping ones hand off... the punishment is soo severe so that noone would even think of doing it...thus prevetning theft...another example fornication and ry...stoned to !! would any one ever do it? nope... just seriously know what your talking about before critizising thats all im saying...

and who said He was a moon god?? rather
as shamsu wal qamaru be husbaaan surat 55

The sun and the moon move in perfect calculated orbits(did they know that 1400 years ago? no... but its written and we finally figured it out maybe 300 years ago)

please gain some more knowlege

as for the mosques the prophet (pbuh) said that he would like to see who would skip going to mosqe for fajr(before sunrise prayers) and burn their house down but he didnt because others may practice it and it would be chaos..

once again those who do not know the wisdom of why god ordained every thing he did then find out!! itl knock your breath away!!

i dont wanna insult anybody but please gain more knowlege before you speak..it's very insultive

and there is no ist activities in the mosques that are used as they are supposed to be used...And if anything the people who are labled as its(there really just peple who want revenge for being violated of basic huamn rights and stupidly decide to go off and destroy the west as a resolution instead of being patient and uniting and not letting the west gain control of resources in the middle east) should go not the mosques!!

You are not alone, UNFORTUNATELY!!!
Does that mean that all the churches should be closed in the Arabic countries?
Nobody has the right to prevent anyone from praying in their traditional place of worship.

No, that's not right either... I know sort of where you are coming from and, how shall I put it....

Certain ethnic minorities in this country are taking advantage.

Banning religion though is not the way, would you then ban synagogues too, would you ban Hindu temples?

If people want to worship whatever, then let them worship whatever... as long as they personally pay for the whatever they want to worship in, then leave them to it.

What is unfair though, is giving certain ethnic minorities special preference over natives

If you allow Muslims to live in your country (which you should), then you should allow mosques.

Actually, instead of closing all the mosques, why don't you close all the pubs?

(follow up question: I hope you are alone with your ignorance and hate, but you are probably not)

peace

Prayer (Salah), in the sense of worship, is the second pillar of Islam. Prayer is obligatory and must be performed five times a day. . One may pray individually or communally, at home, outside, virtually any clean place, as well as in a mosque, though the latter is preferred. Special is the Friday noon prayer, called Jum'ah. It, too, is obligatory and is to be done in a mosque, in congregation. It is accompanied by a sermon (Khutbah), and it replaces the normal Dhuhr prayer.

There is no hierarchical clerical authority in Islam, no priests or ministers. Prayers are led by any learned person who knows the Qur'an and is chosen by the congregation. He (or she, if the congregation is all women) is called the imam. There is also no minimum number of congregates required to hold communal prayers. Prayer consists of verses from the Qur'an and other prayers, accompanied by various bodily postures - standing, bowing, prostrating and sitting. They are said in Arabic, the language of the revelation, though personal supplications (Du'ah) can be offered in one's own language. Worshippers face the Qiblah, the direction of the Ka'bah in the city of Makkah.

The significance of prayer lies in one's maintaining a continuous link to God five times a day, which helps the worshipper avoid misdeeds if he/she performs the prayers sincerely. In addition it promotes discipline, God-consciousness and placing one's trust in Allah alone, and the importance of striving for the Hereafter. When performed in congregation it also provides a strong sense of community, equality and brotherhood/sisterhood.
