7-Up Cranberry Punch

2 cups water
1 1/2 cups sugar
4 cinnamon sticks
3 cups cranberry juice
2 1/2 cups orange juice
1 cup lime juice (use the regular [persian] limes, not key limes. they are too strong.)
42 fluid ounces 7-Up soda
ice cubes (I like to buy some from Sonic for this. They give it to you on the cheap.)

1. Chill fruit juices and 7-Up.
2. Simmer water, sugar and cinnamon sticks together for 10 minutes.
3. Set aside for several hours to allow the mixture to develop the cinnamon spiced flavor.
4. Prior to serving time, remove the cinnamon sticks from the sugar syrup.
5. In a large punch bowl, combine the sugar syrup, cranberry juice, orange juice, and lemon juice.
6. Slowly pour in the 7-Up.
7. Add ice-cubes and garnish with lime slices if desired.

So freakin' good. The first time my mom made it I was worried about the cinnamon (I'm not big on it and the thought of it with lime didn't sound good), but we made two batches that Christmas and it all went!
Oh, and the cherry stuff the first person was talking about, I think they mean grenadine. Or maybe the juice from maraschino cherries.

You can make traditional sherbet punch. Scoop sherbet into a punchbowl. Add 7up. Refill as needed.

Or combine cranberry juice cocktail and 7up in a punchbowl.

The yummiest punch ever.... 2 litres of 7 up, a package of frozen strawberries in syrup, and one can of frozen pink lemon aide (do not add the water). Place the frozen strawberries & pink lemon aide in a punch bowl, and pour 7 up on top. Stir until stightly slushy and serve!! I swear it is the most delicious stuff!!
