I have oily hair and my mom says it bad for me to use conditioner...is it okay if I dont use it when straightening hair?

I don't think you have to but its better because it helps protect your hair unless you want it to be dried & frizzy later. They have conditioners designed for oily hair so that shouldn't be a problem. If you decided not to use the conditioner, then at least use a straightening product that protects your hair from heat and smooths it. I use L'Oreal Studio Hot. And you should make sure your hair is completely dried before you straighten it to minimize damage to your hair. Hope that helps! =)

Yes if you are going to straighten your hair. This will protect it from drying out. If your hair is oily don't put the conditioner on your scalp area just on the the ends.

try usuing conditioner ONLY on the ends. just like the last two or three inches. if you use it closer to the scalp it will make your hair more oily looking. put you need to put it on the ends to prevent split ends and dry ends. also if you are using a heated flat iron, or any heated things on your hair, it will dry it out. so just use it on the ends

its always good to use conditioner as it helps straighten your hair and it leaves it looking really healthy! try using baby powder after straightening your hair... it helps prevent oily hair!!

You should use conditioner, it makes your hair nice and soft and protects it from the cold and heat outside.

conditioner will all ways make Ur hair pretty and if you don't use conditioner it might make Ur hair really dry and course
