Now the believers are trapped in a corner with that question, and I can anticipate them trying to lie or argue their way out. They always do.

I went to the Musee d'Orsay a few weeks ago, and there was a famous self-portrait of Vincent Van Gogh. Now that self-portrait was made in the image of Van Gogh, since it looks like him. That doesn't mean I actually saw Vincent Van Gogh in the Musee d'Orsay, because he's dead. However, the painting shares several characteristics with Van Gogh (when he was alive) - it looks like him, it has a similarly shaped nose, and so on. But there are several things different about it as well. The painting's 2D, and is simply a mixture of oil paints on a canvas. It's not alive, never has been and never will.

In the same way, God created man in his image. Therefore, there are some aspects of us which reflect the nature of God - we have intellegence, the ability to introspect and to emphasise, and so forth. But that doesn't make us God now, does it?

Robots can be design to act, to look and almost to think like humans, Do these qualities make them human? Statues can be created with all the human look, Does this make them human? As you said, we were created as God's image, just image; an image looking won't make you into the real thing. Having the image of God doesn't make you into a god your self. But what is true is that the wrong image can drive you into perdition. You need to analyze things more carefully.

We where created in Gods image as in we feel the same desires that he feels . Not that we look like God and Also man cant create out of nothing so we can never be equal to God , Go back to your corner and learn a lesson that you will never be able to stand up to the truth of God

Being created in His image has nothing to do with being his equal. Does looking like someone make you as strong or powerful as them no. And I am not caught in a corner. That's common sense. How about bringing up the fact that Jesus is described as having skin of bronze and hair of wool in the Bible and yet he's falsely portrayed as having blonde hair and blue eyes. You want to talk about putting a believer in a corner? Roll that one at them.

When you look in a mirror, you see yourself, but is that you or just how you look? It's an image though, isn't it? God NEVER said man is created exactly like He is, just in His image. We are human, not God. Since atheists profess to be more intelligent than Christians, would you pay as much for a copy of the Mona Lisa as you would for the original?

We were created in God's Image, like an artist creates a picture, does or is the picture as great as the artist, I think not, that is what we are an Image of what God is, made by him, not as an equal, but as a representation of what he looks like...

does your mommy know your on the computer again???with an intellect like that your gonna go places junior.none of us is or will ever be an equal to God.if i took your picture, would said picture become your equal?would a statue become the equal of its muse??i think not!we were created in his image..not cloned.what that means is we were created with the ability to think, create, love ect....if we were his equal we would not exist for long because we would be so powerful we would destroy ourselves and our world in the blink of an eye.instead we destry it slowly.lol.think before you speak o wise one to avoid swallowing your foot.and by the way..we are not trapped in the corner as we have truth on our side,it is the athiest who becomes trapped by his own ignorance..i pray that one day you and all your kind will find truth and peace.we habour no ill feelings twards you,we pity you,and pray for you.a man is not born ignorant..ignorance is taught....look up my friend.there you will find peace and love.there is little joy left on this planet but after death the true believers will be rewarded..good luck.

There is no corner here. We are not gods. There is only one God and He is the Almighty God who is our devine crator. God made us in His image which is of His spirit. Then He placed that spirit/soul into a body.

So mister wise guy. you think you are a god... Can you make anything, and I mean anything without using anything in exhistance that God has already created?/ NO! you cannot! Some god you think you are. That corner you speak of is all yours.

Genesis 1:27 So God created man in his own image, in the image of God created he him; male and female created he them.

The above scripture is for that person who said that God did not creat us in His own image. God says you are wrong about that.
God's image is of spirit/soul, and not the human body as we see it.

The creation can never be higher than the creator. We share God's qualities of righteousness, love, wisdom and justice.
No other creature on Earth but humans possess these qualities.
God certainly did not make us equal to him. Even his angels who are far more powerful than humans and made in God's image also are not equal to God. God has no equal.

Your question is a little immature in forethought and immature in general.
