I ordered too much pizza yesterday, and I'm going out of town and I don't want it to go to waste - does anyone know if I would have any luck putting it into zip lock bags and then freezing it so I could reheat it later?

Can You Freeze Cooked Pizza

My mom freezes just about any food. For already cooked pizza the best thing to do is to let it cool completely or ice crystals will form. Then, after it is cooled, wrap it first with a plastic wrap such as Saran Wrap. Wrap it completely and tightly. (You could spray the wrap with a very light mist of cooking spray like Pam.) Make sure it is completely wrapped. Then, wrap it with aluminum foil. Label the outside of the package. When you decide to cook your pizza, remove it from the foil and plastic. Place it on a cookie sheet and heat it in the oven. It will not reheat well in a microwave. You may want to finish it off under the broiler to make the top bubbly. Thin crust pizzas are better than thick for reheating.

Can You Freeze Pizza

Yes you can. My friend does it all the time. When a pizza place is having a special she always goes to that place and buys lots of pizza and freezes it. Pizza from a restaurant is always better even frozen than the ones u get from the grocery stores freezer section.

yes you can. I live alone , and one pizza is way too much for me. so i place it in zip-lock baggies and freeze them all the time. That way when I want some pizza ; I just take it out and microwave it.

Actually it counts for how your trip is, if it stay frezze 2 long, the pizza won't be as good at all.
But that is from my point of view, but I did try it once, it didn't come well.

I have, it doesnt quite have the wonderful fresh taste as new, but i'll do in a pinch.. I either zap in microwave, or put it in foil and heat for 15-20 min till hot in oven..

Yeah, sure, just put it in the freezer and when you're ready to eat it just reheat it, but I suggest you reheat it in the oven because the microwave tends to make the crust a little wet.
