Most definitely. There are many states now where an employer can fire you at will, no reason need be given, and the fired person had NO legal recourse.

DUHHHH WHAT KINDA DUMB QUESTION IS THIS!!! OFCOURSE YOU CAN GET FIRED F YOU ARE A SEX OFFENDER. It depends on the people that work there.....like what kind of people they are.....do they like that sort of thing? or not....but i would fire the person if he was a sex offender

It would depend on the job. If you are in a position that puts you at risk to the public then probably so. If you are a floor worker in a factory then probably not.

If you did not disclose the information of a conviction, you definitely could. If you work with the public, you most definitely could. Even if a company has no policy (which most do), they could find ways to get rid of you.
