Do you mean on a permanent basis or one time only?? Permanent you can look into japanese hair straightening or also called rebonding - depending on where you live can be quite pricey but lasts a very long time... one warning though.... your hair will probably never grow back as curly again - when you go to the salon they will tell you that you have to retouch up every few months... not true - mine lasted 18 months before I needed a touch up - great thing is no hair drying and it's pin straight and will NEVER get frizzy and always look super shiny and healthy!!! It takes between 3-5 hours to do depending on the length of your hair. The other thing they will tell you is that it will grow in the same... not true at all - I had it done with 2 girlfriends... one with very kinky hair, one with curly and me with wavy curls... mine never waved again... my friend with kinky hair had her hair grow back all weird looking and the one with curly hair is now stuck doing this procedure because her hair never grew back in looking decent and when I cut mine out I only get this sloppy frizzy wave. Also, if you ever decide you would like to curl your hair for a special occasion... it will not hold a curl. For short term, take small sections of your hair and use a round brush and pull hair straight and blow dry... finish with a light mist of hair spray ... only thing about this is that if it's humid... it will frizz.

Im half spanish, and I have corkscrew curls that are really pretty. But once or twice a week I decide to straighten it. I've realized that a good straightner is really a BIG part of it. I got a generic Chi at Sallys. Its a GVP straightner. It comes in pink and black and I got it for like 60-70 dollars ? I forgot. But I used chi straight guard ($9.99) on my hair when its damp. I pump the nozzle once and rub my hands together and run my fingers through my hair then blow dry it. It keeps it straight so its easier to straighten. Hope this helps (:

I suggest you use a shampoo and conditioner, then wait until your hair is dry, if it is wet it'll seriously damage it. Then use a product before straightening to protect your hair. Then, straighten it and put a LITTLE bit of the product over so that'll it'll protect your hair from the cold or heat outside.

Hi! The best available option for you the "Yuko" Japanese hair straightening. It is permanent, but as your hair grows will need a touch-up. I am having it down two times a year and I have to say it was the best thing in my life! Check out www.go-straight.com for details.

GHD hair straighteners! They do the best job! But be careful, those things heat to 200 odd degrees, so potentially damaging to your hair, so always, always use a thermal protecting spray and or a heat glide beforehand... Redken do heatglide stuff..

If your hair is really really curly, I would staighten it with an iron (like the one you iron your clothes with). This may not be the healthest idea but your hair will get very very straight. As long as you don't do this everyday it won't cause that much damage. :)

get some swanky straighteners, no cheap crappy ones. I would go for straigtening when almost dry but not entirely.
Don't straighten too often or your hair will get damaged, but it would be ok from time to time to look swanky for a night out
