You are probably eating too much protein.

Take a look at this.

Some protein in the urine is normal and its detection is dependent upon the sensitivity of the urinalysis. Urinating every 5 minutes is most definitely not normal and their are conditions that may cause both frequent urination and urinary protein such as a urinary tract infection. There are other potential causes which are more serious so I would strongly advise that you ask your physician to perform a urinalysis and explain any findings. Additional information would be helpful - send me an email.

U need to have a urinalyisis. Small amounts of protein are usually foubd in the urine, but not enuff to show up in a test. If there is enuff that it shows up in a test then there's a problem. This may indicate a leak in the glomerular membrane, or diabetes or hypertension.

Simplistically said: Frequent urination along with protein in the urine is typical of a UTI (urinary tract infection). Do you have any fevers/nausea etc? Do you have any burning sensation while passing urine?

UTI could be due to umpteen reasons, and the best thing to do is to meet your doc.

Hope that helps!
