Because they prefer doing things their way while still believing they are still Christian. For example, the Bible condemns homosexuality. (1 Cor. 6:9) But gays who consider themselves Christian will disregard this passage as not applying to them.

Jesus said to call no man your father in a religious sense. But Catholics and others ignore that verse and call their priests "father".

Jesus said to love your enemies; but "Christians" will always give an excuse to ignore Jesus' statement and go to war and kill their fellowman.

The Bible calls false religious practices unclean, but "Christians" ignore that and celebrate pagan holidays like Christmas, Easter, and Halloween.

People try to use the Bible for their own convenience, but it won't work.

True Christians have no problem following the Bible. They worship God with "spirit and TRUTH." See John 4:24.

I am a Christian Pastor and have said on more than one occasion that you either believe and accept all the Bible or you reject all of it.
There is no middle ground.
Can you imagine the trouble that gets me in?
Oh, well it's still the truth as far as I'm concerned.

My friend, if you go making blanket accusations like this you gotto be more specific.

Give us at least some verses you feel alot of christians dont think
apply to them.

Who are you referring to? you have lumped all christians int a single category and saying that they ALL act a certain way. Thats like saying that No white people can play sports well, or all Black people are from the ghetto. it just isnt true.

your question is not only ignorant, but is also disrespectful.

well, maybe Bible verses do apply to Christians but since they've washed in Jesus' blood they are exempt from any repercussions of having failed to apply Bible verse and rules to themselves.

i really think that it is simply so misquoted ,misinterpeted and so confusing that they simply can not make heads or tails out of it .
i can not believe that Jesus would make it so complicated ,,,so therefore we KNOW it has been altered and misinterpeted almost from the get go ....................
thats the real problem no one really can interpet it correctly ,,,
its why there are so many versions and offshoots of different religion .
the whole universal law is basic and to the point -------throughout all holy books ---------------love one another like you do yourself ----------we dont see that happening do we ????because thats the one law man can not handle because man is selfish and wants for himself and wants to be right about all he says ,,,,it is very sad really .......................................

because it does not all apply, we live in different times now, the old testament laws are invalid, Jesus came to proclaim a new revelation and covenant.
