Appears on things like Toast, Tree Bark, Chocolate, Cheese Sandwiches? I personally think its not real and its just an optical illusion. But what do you think about people lighting candles around these "false Idols". And do you think its crazy that these things can actually perform miracles?

I do not think they are real either and I am a Catholic. I do not begrudge the innocent who love Our Lady their devotion because it is done out of love but, what I think it is, is a demonic attack to give the real visions such an air of ridiculousness that people discount them altogether. Lourdes France. Fatima Portugal. Medugorje, these are places where she really has appeared and there have been many, many, miracles there. It says in Scripture that the Evil One will have great enmity against the woman and it was for this reason why Jesus calls his Mother "woman" to point out that this is who the Scripture was referring to, so he does whatever he can to discredit her.

Since religion has everything to do with faith and we're such visual superficial creatures, people constantly need excuses to remind them. I think if I were to place my life's purpose on a rubber figurine of homer simpson, I bet he'll be performing some miracles in no time.

I think it's a mixture of self delusion and downright fraud but it does seem stupid that in the 21st century people still cling to such fantasies.
