Here in Denmark we not eat beans at all. However - we can buy cans with white beans in tomatosauce. My doctor tells me to eat beans because of the many proteins. But to eat it same this is not so delicious 3-4 times a week. What kind of dish can I make with this or together with what`?

You could make a number of things:

1) 5-Layer Dip- http://www.epicurious.com/recipes/recipe_views/views/14811

2) Chicken & Bean Enchiladas- Follow this recipe and use half chicken and half beans, instead of all chicken. http://www.epicurious.com/recipes/recipe_views/views/232349

3) Chili Cheese Dip- http://southernfood.about.com/od/crockpotdips/r/bl117c9.htm

A lot of Mexican and Tex-Mex food involves beans, so if these recipes don't excite you, try reading through this article: http://www.foodvirgin.com/columns/Mexican.htm

Also, don't overlook things like hummous, that is made from chick peas, but share many of the same nutrients as other beans. You'll find these in some thick soups too.

Lastly, try Japanese edamame beans, or soy/tofu at a Japanese restaurant, if there's one near you.

We call them Pork & Beans or Baked Beans here in the States...my family isn't really fond of them either....try this: rinse them to get rid of the sauce....find a recipe for sweet potatoe or pumpkin pie...substitute the beans with just enough milk to make their consistency the same as the potatoes or pumpkin would have been.....white beans are pretty bland, so they are a good base for flavoring.....

Place beans in a baking pan with brown sugar, molasses, chopped onions, catsup, mustard, bake in over at 350 degrees F for one hour. Your doctor is half right about the beans as protein, it is not a complete protein unless you mix them with rice, then it is a complete protein.

I don't think we have that in the states, or at least not to my knowledge. Minestrone is good, or a chicken based soup with the beans and chopped spinach. Very healthy.
