yes, that is normal. It is just your body's reaction to the heat. Don't worry....

In theory a hot shower should have no effect on heart rate and if you heart rate is elevated after a hot shower there is likely to be another explanation. Simply because 2 events happen at about the same time does not mean that they are causally related. The heart rate increases after you wake up shower or not so the increase in pulse may be the 'surge' which occurs upon becoming upright. Another issue is what you mean by 'up' as 80 may be normal but 100 may not.

I one time took a hot shower after giving blood and my heart rate went up so much that I passed out in the bathroom.

yes.....just like while playing cricket and running between the wickets........heart rate go up when i take a hot shower

yes it feels a little funny but i always thought it was because my body was shocked by the heat
