Selective serotonin reuptake inhibitors do not make you lazy and they do not lead to poor work performane. Being lazy and poor work performance may be signs of depression and the SSRI may have been prescribed for that reason meaning that if you remain lazy with poor work performance the SSRI dose may need to be increased, the SSRI may need to be changed, or a 2nd medication may need to be added.

In general, antidepressants do not make people lazy. Often times, they actually make it possible to be far more productive than while trapped in the blackness of depression (which can be completely debilitating for some people.)
