Same here. I have really long hair and i straighten it, curl, blow dry, highlight.... What you should do i s make sure you get at least 1 - 1 & a half cut off the ends every 2 months & treat it with hot oil 3 times per week. i like to use this on my hair :

Its pricey but worth the money. U want shiney & smooth hair, pay the $. Its worth it. Also, u can go to your salon and have them put a shine booster on your hair. Its a sealer. OR yu can just cut like 4 inches and let it re grow healthy and dont tuch it. Id like to say id do that but no! When you go to get it dyed, just have them do the roots. Also, try to WAIT UNTIL YOUR HAIR IS ALMOST COMPLETELY DRY BEFORE YOU BLOW DRY IT so it doesnt do all that much damage to the hair. Set your blow dryer on low. Use heat therepy shampoo & cond. Itll block some of the heat out of you hair while useing all your irons.

Let your hair rest for a while. Refrain from blow drying it, as this causes the hair to be dry. Leave on coconut milk for an hour or two before taking a bath. Use pantene shampoo.

Stop all that things you did. They're damaging your hair.If you want to dry your hair just go for the natural way.Use a towel and leave your hair to the nature.Use a shampoo that moisturize your hair.A conditioner that nourishing and use a leave-on conditioner regularly.

Im sorry to say but
I went to my hair dress and ask them the same question and I was frightend to hear them say
"The healthliest way is for us to cut your hair and then it will grow back nice and healthy" So i listened to them ...I dont know how fast your hair grows but mine grows fast and now its healthy
When I had my hair short it wasnt ugly i had layers into like a bob.

get a good haircut.
split ends can't be unsplit. they have to be cut off.
start using products to protect your hair from hot irons and blowdrying. you will not need as much taken off the ends.
