Just water from the Hot Water heater, hot enough to make your skin red.

We have the Water heater set to the highest, and i do have to add a little cold water to be able to get in.

I was just thinking that with all the sweating that is done...well hope you get the picture.

Not enough to matter, all that will do is cause you to sweat and cause you to lose precious fluids in your body. Not a good idea.

You will be burning about the same amount of calories as sitting in front of the TV with the added bonus of minor to medium skin damage from the hot water. You should avoid water that is hotter than 105 F and ideally should be about 95F for a beneficial muscle soak. The only parts of you that will be sweating are the ones above the water line anyway. Calories are burned by activity, not outside temperatures. You can lose water weight through sweating and this is more readily accomplished in a steam room or sauna, but is only a short term fix for weight loss since water weight is easily put back on, especially if you have a condition or diet that promotes water retention.

if you fill the bath tin with a small container that you bring from the kitchen far away in less than 30 minutes: 90 calories
if you then wash all the bathroom walls and floor and bath tin with fast and thorough movements in less than 30 minutes: 110 calories
if you rub your body with a towel with vigorous movements for at least 30 minutes without stop: 100 calories
for making your skin red with hot water, activating superficial blood circulation: 15 calories
for the effort of sweating 15 minutes after you come out of the water (inside the tin you do not sweat) : 7 calories
for thinking this question and typing it: 9 calories

I hope you get the picture. You can burn 329 calories and loose weight (only out of water that you recover as soon as you drink a glass of water) that you immediately obtain again only by eating a medium peanut sandwich and a glass of common coke.

Be happy, the only way to loose fat is by increasing (very much) physical activity and by reducing (very much) calories in the food you eat. Small daily activity does not make a differente.

nice theory but you wont burn calories in the bath, especially as you burn less calories when it's hot, hence why you arent as hungry in hot places. a COLD bath, now that would shift a few.
