yep.... it is romantic! the traffic jams, and the honking of millions of cars, the different forms of the word 'merde' being pronouced, the pigeons dutying on your car, the graffitis on almost all the walls in sight, the dog s*** dog owners can't be bothered to pick up, the over-priced food in every restaurant, the groups of tourists coming from all over the world in every corner of paris, the polluted seine, the numerous sex shops, .... i could go on for HOURS!

Every city is the city of love when you're with the man you love.
It's true that the scenic of Paris is combined in our minds with romanticism. It's like a mental aphrodisiac for lovers.

Don't be afraid. If, after 7 years you'll be not in love with a great young man, Paris will be just in the same place and will help you.

Evidently some people still see paris as the city of love, but be careful if you go there. Muslims seem to see it as a target for riots and murder. If you are going in 7 years, take a burka...

More men approached me in Paris with complements regarding my beauty etc. in one week than in most of my years in the US combined. It does seem more romantic than many cities, if not for its beauty, than for the openness of its people.

It does it for me................
My mum-in-law and dad-in-law met on the Eiffel Tower in Paris. He was on his way back from Aden, and she was working as a nanny.
They had never been back there until my wife and I took them there to celebrate their silver wedding anniversay, and it was very romantic and emotional for us, as well as for them.
Don't go there expecting to be romanced by someone, because the French are no more romantic as all the rest of us. It is the city itself that has the romance, so go with someone you love and enjoy.
PS. Its crap and miserable when its cold and wet, so don't go in the winter !

it's definitely a city to fall in love with. but it's totally up to you if you fall in love there. generally the people can be a little snobby, but if you make an effort to speak the language, you will get respect. go with an open mind and a sense of adventure.
