My car was just stolen too. I had to pay the motherfuckers 650.00. which is total bullshit. Anyways call the :THE VINE. Its a victims line. They may be able to help you out. I went out to get my car 4 times before they would let it go. Because it was out of my county, I had to get 2 releases which didn't cost anything. It was more of a pain than anything. Meanwhile my car sat stripped . Not to mention the tow company took my battery and a few other items. So the faster you get the money the better. But do try the vine. Best of luck I feel for you.

The best thing to do is go to the Police station and get a release signed. The towing lot will not release a vehicle until they are paid. If that does not work you may have to get a court order for release.

If your car was stolen, why are you being charged to have your car released? Did you report the theft? Is it being held as evidence? Something isn't right here.

Contact your insurance agent and file a claim for the catalytic converter, the seat, and the impound fees. Your auto insurance policy (if you have full coverage) will reimburse you for the money you spent. - Stuart

If your car was stolen and you are a victem they shouldnt expect you to pay for that bullcrap. Just another example why all cops should simultaneously die.
