After I read several of your responces and prayers, I sat down and ate breakfast with my fiance and my 3 year old son. During breakfast, something came over me. Something touched my heart. I began to feel as if I was going to cry, which I still dont understand. I stood up quickly. My fiance asked if I was ok. I told her I had to be alone for a minute. This was not planned nor did I really know what was happening to me. I went into the bedroom, locked the door, and fell to my knees. I began sobbing as I reflected on all of the bad things that have been going wrong in my life. I began to pray. This isnt the first time I prayed to God. But that was just it. How was this prayer going to be any different from the previous ones. Something inside of me told me...Talk to God in your own words. I know that I'm a sinner and I know that I haven't been walking the righteous path. How do I approach God? For some reason, I reflected on a particular day last week...

An angel touched you. And when I say touched, I mean TOUCHED you. The feeling was in you soul, wasn't it? It was a overwhelming feeling of grief, saddness, remorse and love. The reason this prayer was different, is because it WAS. An angel was sent to you to remind you of what really matters right now, and to stay focused on God. He is bigger then your problems, and he wants you to give them all to him. That is what he is there for and that's why you needed his devine intervention! You are truely blessed....and you hit it on the head when you said that you were pulled to talk to God in your own words. That's exactly how we are to talk to him. I usually start my prayers with, "Hey, God. What's goin on?" It's an approach that is personal, and easier for me to do then using all that biblical mumbo jumbo. You are on the right track, now you just have to go with that feeling. If you are feeling drawn to do something, there is usually a good reason behind it. To often people fight that feeling and do what they are use to and comfortable with. And then they miss out on the big picture. Keep praying and follow your heart!

GOD know everything you've done, what you think about doing and whats gonna be done in the future so if your really sorry for you sin than he has already forgave you for it, but you still need to pray and ask for the forgiveness of you fiance and child.

You are blessed. Take the right path from now on. The voice from inside of you was your soul guiding you. Sit alone anywhere and speak to your soul. Your soul will talk to you you can ask the same question that you are asking from your soul then you will know the precise answer

That was the Holy Spirit talking to your heart and bringing you to conviction, that's why it's different than other prayer time you've spent with him.
You can get right back on the path, just ask him to guide and lead you.

God is everywhere sweetie and he is in everything you see and touch everyday. It doesn't matter where you pray. God forgives us all if we are truly sorry for our sins. You are your own person and as long as you feel him in your heart it doesn't matter how you approach him , he just wants to hear you. He loves you after all he did die for you and me.

i feel we all see and feel God differently .. and there should be no rules or guidelines on how to speak to God ..

My friend you already approached God, you fell to your knees and prayed.......God has his ways of pulling his flock back to him, as you just experienced.
