I am terrified of balloons ....... pathetic I know but it goes back years when my dad thought he was being funny and popped one behind me. The shiny helium ones don't bother me in the slightest it's the normal round latex balloons that have me quaking in my boots. I check out parties I go to for balloons and children that love to run their fingers down them ................Anyone else out there with weird phobia's ??

I'm with you on the balloon thing. I'm TERRIFIED of them but like you, I too am alright around the helium ones. I'm also scared of escalators that go down, I can go on the ones going up but not on the way down. I'm PETRIFIED of dentists after I had a really bad experience with one. I need a tranquilizer just to phone one.

Being a passenger in a car. That started in 1994 after a druggie caused an accident. Since then I have to ride in the back seat if I'm a passenger and even then I'm get terribly nervous.

Clowns, I walked in on the most horrible parts of the movie "It" by Stephen King when I was probably about 5 or 6 and still, 15 years later clowns make me nervous

Not exactly a phobia but I hate cotton wool! I had to have a lot of dental work when I was a kid and the dentist used to pack my mouth out with cotton wool while they were drilling etc, and I used to gag on it all the time. Now every time I touch cotton wool it makes me feel sick, its the 'squeakiness' of it if you know what I mean! (probably not - I know I'm weird!)

Woah where to start....OK well i have a fear of ghosts, the scratching noises on metals, heights, public embarrassment, the element of suprise (like when people pop out of nowhere to suprise you, when the toaster rings, or when a balloon pops, & etc.)....and I know there's more but i cant think of any.....good question! lol

Heights, sharks, the future, and stuff touching my throat - I really can't explain this one, I just know that I cannot have ANYTHING touching my throat, I even start freaking out if a strand of hair touches me there.

That's a odd one indeed. I don't like bugs but that is pretty normal. I have known people that had strange ones like clowns and planes but I think you have the one up on them.
