Is your computer equipped with a tv tuner card and is it hooked up?
If it is and you are getting errors when trying to use that part of the software then, you will need to reinstall because either the drivers or the software has been corrupted.
Reinstalling isn't that big of a deal, just make sure to backup any files and folders you deem important, either onto discs or into a backup hard drive or even transfer them from there current location to a folder on the root of the drive (c:\)
Then when reinstalling you'll get a couple of options on the first screen, one is to do a new install or drop to the recovery console, if you have computer savy and know exactly which files you need you can use the recovery console to extract those files into your existing installation, if not select to do a new install.
It'll find your previous installation and ask if you want to keep your current file system, select that option and it'll only reinstall the OS and overwrite any bad or missing files.....
