have a salad. Although, it's super bad to lose 4 1/2 lbs in that many days. Drink water - you are probably dehydrated.

Dear Katie I would say that you have not eaten very much at all! You are only 13 and should be eating a lot more that what you have listed. I am sorry to say this but for your hight and current weight you should be eating much more variety too. You say that you went to the doctors and you have been told that you will need to change your diet. I am hoping that you did not go on your own, as you need to talk to someone. If it's possible ask a parent or guardian to go with you again to the doctors. Ask the doctor that you would like to be referred to a dietician. They will be able to draw up a proper eating plan for you to follow and to tell what your parent/guardian can cook for you as well, (as what to eat at school and eating out too with friends). As you are only 13 you do need to eat calcium to help your bones in later life. If you don't there will be issues that could be rather hard to deal with. I would strongly suggest that you get help from the doctor about how you get your calcium needs that take into the fact that you are lactose intolerant. I know that this is all very hard to deal with in one go, but there are plenty of people that have to live with these change of diet, so do not think you are the only one. I can assure you that you are not. Many many people do live very normal lives too. What is so important is that you get the right help and support now so that it will become second nature to eat the right things that will do you good and not eat the wrong stuff that makes you feel so ill. Remember an empty stomach is not a happy stomach! Starving yourself is not good, as it puts a real strain on the body and you will not be able to concentrate either, even small tasks will become a real effort. Also please do not let other people influence you into eating less as it will make you look better. I know at 13 you may feel that you really know what is best, but your body does need proper food, each day, to grow into the rest of your teenage years and way beyond into adult hood. What you eat now will lay the foundations down for the years to come. It does sound serious, but if you get the help now you will have a balanced healthy life-style. Then you can concentrate on all the fun stuff you can do and enjoy doing it! I wish you all the very best!

Anything that's filling and low calorie. That doesn't include peanut butter, jelly, or Wonder bread. I don't think you'll lose the other 4 1/2 pounds because the first 4 1/2 probably came off when you stopped eating things with salt in them. SO DON'T EAT CANNED SOUP! Although soup you make yourself can be very good. I have to limit salt and make variations of hot-and-sour soup. Cook up chicken, add whatever veggies you want, maybe bamboo or water chestnuts, add vinegar and hot sauce, dried pepper flakes, black pepper--whatever you have on hand and search a few recipes to see how much vinegar and pepper to use--the recipes will also tell you how much cornstarch to stir in to thicken it. I usually use more cornstarch because I have trouble thickening it. If you have no cornstarch use flour, but it will look milky instead of clear. Stir a couple of eggs up in a bowl, give it a good stir and pour in the egg. Or not. Everything is optional except the vinegar, hot stuff, thickener, and some kind of broth that you made yourself without salt. Even homemade vegetable broth if meat's off the menu. Firm tofu works well in this, too. God, I never thought I'd catch myself saying that.

to lose 4 and 1/2 lbs in 4 days is nuts!! totally not healthy. For you lunch you should have a salad but put it in a small container so you do not eat all of it. The salads that you find already made are 2 servings. Add some fruit and maybe some yogurt to your meal and you should do alright. Don't forget to drink tons of water. Water cleans out your body so water is very good for you.

You can have the PPJ. No one is holding a gun to your head and saying this is what you must do every single day you're on your diet. You can have sweets and fatty things as long as you do it in moderation.
Congrats on losing wieght. I'm trying to do the opposite. I'm actually 40 or 50 pounds under wieght for someone my height.
You probably hate me now... Sorry...

Get a salad with chicken or your favorite meat on top. You can also go for a side of fruit so you won't be craving sugar so much. But the PBJ sounds good too. If you really want it, go for it. One cheat won't hurt. It may in fact help you stay on course. Good Luck!! :)

the only 'diet' i recommend, is one rich in fruits, vegetables, legumes, fish, and grains, complimented with dairy and chocolate products, and herbal and nutrition supplements, and at least 1 glass of fresh juice from a juicer a day.
for losing weight you really dont need to skimp on the nutrition loss many diets accompany, you can be losing everything from sufficient amounts of ordinary vitamins to amino acids, instead get a rigorous steady exercise cycle going. get plenty of cardiovascular and weight lifting exercise, and after awhile you will not only become addicted to and look forward to exercising, but tone your body and increase your metabolism, and lose weight too.
