they are high in carbs. lots of sugar in them. you can eat them, but keep in mind that one small potato probably has 250 calories (not including any toppings!). So keep them to a minimum.

A medium sized baked potato has no fat and contains about 220 calories. Baked potatoes served in restaurants with everything on them are essentially a meal.

Depends on WHAT you put on the potato. If you always eat your potato with lots of butter and sour cream then NO, they will not help you lose weight. A potato by itself does not have a lot of calories.

They are low in fat but they are glycemically high (they break down into sugar quickly in your system) so add some healthy fats or veggies to balance your blood sugar. Also sweet potatoes are actually better for you glycemically than baking potatoes.

Potatoes can easily be part of a well balanced diet. Potatoes alone will not make you lose weight. No food has that ability.

It ain't just fat that makes you fat. Think starch. Think sugar. Think carbohydrate. Baked potatoes are good food but they won't help you lose weight much as they are high in starch and carbs.

Hi,
They're high in carbs, won't help you. I've tried all different diets, and the weight loss is only temporary. I finally tried diet pills on the market are made from Hoodia. I saw this stuff on ABC News. It's all natural and safe, and it works! My wife took it for a month and dropped 20 pounds. I took it for a month and lost about 13 (but I didn't exercise).
I bought the natural hoodia from this website: http://www.alllsite.info/free-diet-pills.php . I checked the web site address so I can post it here and I saw they're running a promotion now to get a free 2 week sample for only $4.97! I'm going to order this supply for my wife and give it to her for Christmas =)
