home made soup - you know where its come from and whats in it, if you are feeding a large family or group then a large serving could be made cheaper and if not you can grow your own or buy from a local gardener/farmer so that you are helping your loca l community
no additives or preservatives added other than the ones that you use, no colourings or anything like that and you can get the insides of the tins flaking off and leaving trace elements of hardly detectable metal in your system (specially if there is a dent in the tin), over time these can build up and cause infections or digestive problems

Generally homemade soups have less sodium and fewer processed ingredients. When making soup at home, you can control the freshness of everything you put in. Read the ingredient list of most canned soups, and it will become apparent that lots of chemicals are included.

You can make soup at home with FRESH ingredients. You don't have to put in preservatives, flavourings or other additives. You won't be using hydrogenated fat. You won't be using hydrolysed protein. You won't have too much salt in there if you are careful.
And when you eat it, it can be just one hour old. How long did that can sit on that shelf for?
