There are some universal tips that dermatologists will tell you:
1. Don't touch your face. All kinds of bacteria on your hands get lodged in your pores and start breakouts. So if you are sweating, use a cloth or something to wipe. Keep your hands clean before touching your face. Equally, keep things that do touch your face (like glasses or sunglasses) clean so they don't clog up your pores.
2. When you wash your face, do not use harsh stuff that's overly strong. Don't overwash basically because this irritates your skin. Apply a mild acne medicine after washing -- but don't overdose on the stuff because you can cause an adverse effect. Then use a light oil-free moisturizer. Contrary to what most people think, using a moisturizer helps prevent your face from producing extra sebum (oil) to coat your face if it's too dry (or overwashed and irritated)... and in preventing extra production, your are preventing the possibility of acne popping up.
3. DO NOT POP YOUR PIMPLES. You may make the situation worse by potentially pushing the infected material deeper into your skin when you pop it with your fingers. Popping also leads to scarring.
4. Stay away from tight fitting things that don't let your skin breathe (headbands, etc.).
Hope that is a good starter for you. Good luck.

There is really no way to rid your face of pimples. There are a variety of soaps and lotions and stuff, but the BEST way to naturally help your skin clear up is this.
Drink lots of water. Don't go overboard either, just drink enough. People usually don't drink enough water anyway, and it's good for you. But it you drink at least 8 glasses of water a day it dilutes the oil in your skin, hence less break outs and zits. I know it sounds ridiculous, but it's a proven method I've used my whole life and it seems to help in addition to soaps and fancy facial cleaners.
Hope this helps, good luck.

There is a wonderful product that, other than prescriptions, was the only thing to even make a dent in my acne a couple of years ago...it is called Nature's Cure. I have very, very sensitive skin, and this worked amazingly. Everything in it is natural, but it works amazingly. It comes with a once-a-day herbal pill and a topical cream. They formulate it differently for men and women, so be sure to get the right one....Use that along with a bar of neutrogena for acne prone skin (use it on a washcloth) and you should see results in a couple of days. Good luck!!!

if your looking for something natural.... this works' no side effect's but if you do have anything like heart burn or burning stool from this! then slow down on it' cayenne pepper is a great natural healer for cleaning the blood. we can get pimples form haveing infection or things going on in the blood streem' and the impuritys come out in our skin' try this!!! one tea spoon of cayenne pepper . in a glass of worm water' you can do this- one to two- times a day' you should notice a difference in about a week' or so' but if you have any diffaculity's just slow down if you are in a area where you can get to a store!! you can bye this in pill form which is much easier and then you wont have to drink it like a tea' if you do drink it like a tea plug your nose if you can. while you drink it . and drink it right down this makes it so you wont taste the pepper so much! . this does work. i have done it my self. and have had good luck in doing so' it is not exspencive' and your cleaning your blood at the same time. good luck.

I just bought some face soap called Cuticura. It's a mild antibacterial soap that is supposed to control acne. I haven't been using it long, but I haven't gotten any new pimples. You can also use over the counter creams with it. I ordered mine online. They have it for oily, dry, or normal skin.

weight gain!!!!! oh yes that's a real pretty one, i gained about 7lbs (but even though id rather not have the weight, i do admit i carry the extra weight well so i don't mind) my breasts get more swollen at random times of the month and my appetite goes through the roof some days. but its all not to bad, id rather be on it with them than off it and have to use condoms (very unromantic and i find them gross) unless your not with a long term partner then condoms are a must even if on the pill!! p.s. this is my 6th type of pill all the others had a whole lot of effects that are to long to list, been on this one 3months with only the things i put so fingers crossed it doesn't get any worse :D

Acutain, but let your parents tell you about the side affects. Dry skin on my legs and chapped lips for about 7 months. For me it lasted about 7 years. Do not pick at them! I am an older person and used it, when I was younger and picked,,,,,well, now I am called crevice head, not nice but have survived. If you are a teen leave them alone, I think it is a process to adulthood. Don't become a crevice head!!! Time my person, just time...

The best thing is make habit to eat lots of salad, green vegetables, fruits and whole wheat products. Drink plenty of pure water whole day. This habit will keep your stomach non constipating and you will feel the difference.
Always try avoid white stuff like white flour, sugar, milk products.
If problem is out of control rush to skin specialist.

Definitely Proactiv! Best ever! No side effects for me and I have sensitive skin. Kinda expensive though. I got mine brand new off eBay to cut down on the cost.
