Is their any place for terror in Islam?

Islam is the second largest religion in the world, the religion which
was born to propogate love and compassion.But since the end of
last century,terror is being associated with Islam.In Islam killing
oneself or suicide is prohibitive.As per the Islamic laws a person ,
who kills himself will never go to heaven.But a large number of
muslim populace is involved in activities,which are unislamic and
do not have any place in the religion.

Terrorists have no religion. The Islam does not teach terorism. But when some Muslim commits a terror-like crime and kills others and the Islam does not condemn it, on the contrary idolizes it, the Islam becomes a terrorist religion. The scriptures are carrying the message of peace and love for humanity.

I often admire the answers posted by poki poki, but this time I differ a little.

I would like you to go back to cold war era when USSR was intact. The communism was the one and only enemy of west at that time. The fact is also reflected through the movies of that time e.g. Bond's movies were aimed at attacking USSR.

The muslims were friends of the west and NOT TERRORIST as they also fought against the earlstwhile USSR, e.g. Rambo movie reflected the ideology of that time.[ I have given examples of movies since movies are the source of ideology of a particular time.]

Now suddenly [?] the USSR disintegrated and there remained ..

no enemy to fight with,
no purpose to lead the world,
no enemy to terrorise the world.
no excuse to test check the amos.

The big space was waiting to be filled in. And I S L A M looked easy prey.

It happened as designed......the world policies were modified accordingly.

Suddenly Islam emerged as the religion favouring terrorism.
Therefore my friend it is with some conspiracy and malafied intention of 'world power' that Islam lies wounded today, but it is an unproductive policy which has caused so much of violence in retaliation.

Muslims have also forbidden thier religion and taken to violence, killing innocent people which is against the teachings of Islam.

Needless to say the Islamic religion has alot of fanatical followers who are out to kill the infidels and destroy people who disagree with them. I realize there are good Muslims too, but like any religion, the bad ones ruin it for the good ones.

Allah hath chosen the Faith for you; then die not except in the Faith of Islam’”) or 3:67 (“Abraham was not a Jew nor yet a Christian; but he was true in Faith, and bowed his will to Allah’ (which is Islam), and he joined not gods with Allah”), he understands what so many imams tell him: that the true Jews and Christians of today are the Muslims, and the people who go by those names are renegades and rebels against God.

This argument does not rest on any idea that Abraham or Moses observed specifically Islamic rituals, but on the idea that they were prophets of the True Faith which was restored by Mohammed after it was corrupted by Jews and Christians.

Terrorism started in the last century because of the oppression the people of the middle east are living under. their governments are corrupted and their rulers are American puppets.
not to mention the illegal occupation of Palestine and the long history of imperialism and greed of the US and UK in the middle east especially since the end of the 19th century. in fact the history of the UK and France goes back to the 10th century crusades.
